The
following guidelines are a starting point. These suggestions are
open to discussion and change by the Framers of the Guidelines of
the local churches Senior Leadership Board, and the approval of
the Church Body.
Note:
The
Senior Pastors
Leadership Board Of Pastors Consist Of;
1.
Senior Pastor
2.
Assistant Senior Pastor
3. 11
Full or Appointed Pastors
4.
Also For A Pastor To Be Voted On To Become The New Senior
Pastor, He Must Be A Full Pastor Already Voted Into
The
Senior Pastors Leadership Board Of Pastors
1.
Important is to understand and establish that one pastor
is expanding into 13 pastors. Each pastor has a very active
part in the church.
2.
Each pastor will have a regular service they lead once a
month except for the assistant senior pastor.
3.
The Assistant Senior Pastor will not have a regular
night to minister as all the rest, but will assist in all the
functions of the Senior Pastor and will fill in for the Senior
when they are not present or able to fulfill their obligations.
The remaining 11 pastors will have a regular night to minister.
4.
For example 12 Pastors for 12 Regular services that are
traditionally 3 times a week on, Sunday Morning, Sunday Night, and
Wednesday or Thursday Night for a month. Each Pastor leading a
service once for the month.
5.
We further understand that there is a senior pastor to fulfill the
roll to the Church Body and to have control, avoiding confusion.
6. The first
Sunday morning of every month should be for the Senior Pastor to
lead the service for that month. Then each of the other 11 pastors
will always lead on their regular service for that month also.
7.
There will not be competition between ministries or ministers in
the pulpit and/or church, or on their night or day to
minister. Harmony must exit between all ministers in all
situations or termination may happen.
8.
Twelve Ministers will have a night or day they minister in on a
regular basis. The assistant senior may fill in for missing
ministers.
9.
Doctrine guidelines to what is acceptable for the 13 Pastors to
preach and teach, and/or practice, all should teach same way of
believing.
10.
Choosing a new Senior Pastor when a new Senior Pastor is needed,
or ever 2 or 4 years when The Senior Pastor is reelected.
A. To be voted on for The Senior Pastors position, it is required
to be a Full Pastor to qualify.
B. All the pastors on senior pastors leadership board, should vote
in the three candidates they feel should be the new senior pastor,
each selected by majority vote of Senior Pastors Leadership Board.
C. The three Senior Pastor candidates chosen by the Senior Pastors
Leadership Board will be presented to the Church Body. The Church
Body will then vote for who they want to be the new Senior Pastor.
Elected by majority of votes by the Church Body (Congregation).
D. Only the pastors on the Senior Pastors
Leadership Board have a right to vote on issues in the Senior
Pastors Leadership Board, and one vote per person. The senior
pastor is the only pastor that meets with the
Local Church Board, or the assistant senior pastor when the senior
pastor is not available.
11. How to
add the 12 new pastors ?
A. The Senior Pastor will appoint pastors for each of the
other 11 services.
B. After a time the appointed pastor will be voted on, to
become a Full Pastor.
C. Each new added Full Pastor must be first
voted in by unanimous vote by
"Senior Pastors
Leadership Board Of Pastors"
, for harmony between pastors.
D. If voted in by the other Full Pastors on
the "Senior
Pastors Leadership Board Of Pastors",
then they are presented for vote by the Church Body.
E. If the Church Body votes them in by unanimous vote, then they
have become a Full Pastor of the local church.
F. The Senior Pastor Has The Authority For
Termination of one or more of the other 12 pastors at any time as
God Leads.
12. How to
add the Senior Assistant Pastor ?
A. Senior Pastors Leadership Board Of Pastors should vote in
their choice of who they want over them as an "Assistant Senior
Pastor".
13. I've
learned you can do the work of 10 people or train 10 people to
do the job. So that is one of the main reasons for this Pastors
Structure.
14.
In this structure we have 13 pastors
pulling the load and responsibility one was doing, where one is Senior. I
feel the closeness of the 13 pastors is like Jesus is to The
Church (His Body) or like a marriage. This closeness is stated to show the workload and
recognition is almost equal in the church. One Pastor must be
Senior to Establish Control, or confusion could result. The Senior
Pastor will also be Chairman of the Senior Pastors Leadership
Board.
15.
This
Board is for the Pastors of the Church only, but if ok, assistants
or trainees can sit in to learn. But the assistants don't have a
vote, they are present to learn only.
16. I suggest
that all of the 13 pastors that are present in a church service should be seated on
the platform in every service whenever possible. To show
leadership and strength of the local church.
The pastors
sitting on the platform are not to act in a leadership role unless
called upon by the pastor in lead, otherwise they will be out of
order.
The
pastor leading the service will allow the other pastors on the
platform to operate in the gifts that normally work if the pastor
was sitting in a pew in the church body, such as message in a
prophecy, or a message tongue with or without an interpretation.
The
pastor leading the service will decide if he will open the door,
when, and how, for the other pastors to begin ministering to the
congregation in other Spiritual Gifts God Gave the Church For
edification, such as, Word Of Knowledge and Wisdom, Word From The
Lord, Special Prayer Laying On Hands and Anointing Oil Applied,
Etc.
Important Points For This Action
P1. Log jam
opened, preachers not used can start moving. If your not a pastor
of a church you usually won't get asked to preach somewhere. If
you have a good river, good logs, but you can't get them to the
saw mill because they are jammed up in the way. Break open the log
jam.
P2. When one
of the pastors is asked to speak at a different church, one of the
other pastors can fill in for him, if the Assistant Senior
doesn't.
P3. The
opportunity to Train Pastors. An assistant pastor could work with
each of the 12 pastors if wanted. School students such as
messenger college could have experience first hand working with
pastors of the 12 services and/or off nights.
P4. Burn Out
is a problem that happens because of the ever increasing lifestyle
that is happening in our age, busy, busy world. The workload on
Pastors to do it all, will eventually cause Burn Out, and the
larger the church the larger the problem. Funerals, weddings,
counseling, ETC.
P5.
This
resource of Pastors and their assistants could supply that need.
24 preachers would be available if each pastor had one assistant.
P6. Every
service will be different and challenging the believer to come to
every service. Just because you was at the Sunday morning service
does not fulfill the ministry that will be happening on Sunday
night and likewise on Wednesday.
P7. 13
Pastors provide plenty of resources to talent and service from
themselves and their resources they have.
A. Song leaders
B. Musicians
C. Knowledge base
D. Experience
E. Teachers
F. Encouraging and Ministering To Each Another
G. Encourages Structure, Peace, and Joy
P8. All
services should be in the same language.
Note: This
could be offered as a trial basis to see how it is liked by the
congregation for a specified length of time. At the appointed time
the church could vote for it or against it to determine if it will
be an established method or not. If approved it would then be
established as The
Senior Pastors Leadership Board Of Pastors
For The
Local Church at this location.
